Whew!  It has been BUSY around these parts.  The weather has been glorious (albeit sweltering), and I've been soaking up every.single.minute. of it.  This weekend was no exception!  On Friday I left work a little bit early and K and I had a lovely al fresco dinner at Monty's in Williston, complete with ridiculously enormous Weihenstephan beers (not pictured ;)  After dinner we drove to Burlington for our first Lake Monsters game of the season!  Although we didn't win the 50/50 raffle, the Monsters did win--and then we got to see a pretty awesome Fireworks show after the game!

Saturday K went fishing while I went to a bridal shower for my friend Megan, who is getting married in August.  We went to town early so K could get fishing hooks and I could get an iced coffee, and then we went our separate ways--I stopped at Goodwill for some shopping before heading to the shower, which was lovely and ended with some pool time at Megan's mother's condo complex.  That night K and I went to bed pretty early, because we had to leave home by 6 AM the next morning for an air show at Portsmouth airport.

I have never been to an air show before and was a bit skeptical (sometimes you've got to take one for the team--after all, K does sit through the Bachelorette with me every Monday night, snarky comments notwithstanding), but it was pretty fun (although SO.HOT.)  My favorite part (which we left immediately after) was the wing-walking.  Pretty crazy to see a lady standing on top of an airplane while it did tricks in the sky--reminiscent of "the golden age of aviation", they said.  The golden age of anything is always better, in my opinion (Midnight in Paris, anyone?).

Anyway, another great summer weekend under my belt!  This week is going be crazy, and next weekend is looking pretty full, too!  Can't stop, won't stop...
